A large percentage of the people who come in to visit me already own financial products or are already working with a financial professional. This is not about trying to steal you away from that person. This about teaching people to learn choices about where they can put their money and feel good about their financial strategies focusing on financial vehicles that can provide protection of principal from market declines.

What are my obligations after my first face-to-face visit?

There are no obligations... You may be told that in Jim Salling's opinion you do not need to make any changes.

If you are married, your spouse needs to come with you.

This is your decision, but most bring a recent copy of all financial documents that help explain their current finacial situation.

What will happen in the first consultation meeting?

Jim Salling will analyze your current situation by talking with you and asking specific questions. He will then understand your needs and ascertain your goals.

It is a fact-finding mission to try to determine what he feels is right for you.

He may or may not recommend any changes or adjustments in your financial strategy.
What is the charge for subsequent meetings?

You will never be charged for any meeting you have with Jim Salling!
How does it work?

You will be given a few choices of the strategies best suited for your situation.

You will decide which you like best since it is your money.

You will be in control of your money and you will have the flexibility to make changes as life events and circumstances change.

You will receive a Summary Sheet with all accounts listed you have with Independent Financial. It is simple and easy to understand.

It will list the account numbers, company names and their phone numbers in case you need help and Jim is not available.

We will have an annual review to update your Summary Sheet and make changes to reflect your current income requirements, update beneficiaries and try to resolve other financial questions, issues and concerns.
Where is Jim Salling and Independent Financial Service Center located?

The office is located in suite 207 in the Munson Block officess at 305 W. Woodard St. in Denison.

It is across Woodard Street from the Chase Motor Bank and across Rusk St. from the post office.
What are your office hours?

Jim Salling actually works by appointment only, but is usually in the office from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and any time by appointment. Please call prior to dropping in because he often makes house calls and visits clients with health problems who cannot easily come see him. The office is always closed for the opening day of dove season. He may be unavailable at other times because of attending continuing education seminars, involvement in a charity clay target shoot, on a bird hunt, fishing or simply on vacation.
